A special shout-out to two outstanding student leaders - Matt Price and Drew Baldridge. Matt and Drew served as the 2023-24 Intern Foundry Coordinators and did a masterful job. Their level of leadership maturity and diplomacy was remarkable and I am sure they are going to make a positive difference in the world as they stake out their futures. Congratulations on college graduation Drew and Matt and thanks for serving the Foundry so well!

The why behind our work matters deeply to us. In this video, Jay Wilkinson and Randy Hawthorne, founders of the Foundry and current board members, explain why they created the Foundry and why they continue to support the work that we do.

Your donation changes a young professional’s path. We’ve seen positive experiences deeply root students in the community, creating a greater likelihood of continuing to invest in purpose-driven work, local communities, and the state following graduation. The Intern Foundry (IF) program is an intentionally designed partnership between the Foundry and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Program to address the “brain drain” in Nebraska by pairing the University's highest-achieving students with meaningful work-based learning opportunities addressing critical areas of high community need.
