In a newly published Law360 article on Friday’s Supreme Court unanimous ruling on pure omissions pleadings involving the antifraud provisions of the Exchange Act, HG’s GIRE head (and former SEC enforcement attorney) Scott Mascianica warns that the SEC might not escape the impact of the court’s decision. In analyzing the Supreme Court’s opinion, Scott noted he sees the opinion as “absolutely having an impact on the SEC and what it will be required to plead and what I think courts are going to expect going forward."

HG’s own Head of Government Investigations Scott Mascianica was quoted in Agenda’s recent article examining SEC and DOJ scrutiny of independent directors.

While she has excelled at contract litigation and IP work that may seem removed from the laboratory, she is able to draw on her unique perspective and her scientific vocabulary translation skills when it comes to intellectual property disputes related to medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biosimilars, chemicals, and even software.
