For nearly 50 years Lincoln Children's Zoo has impacted the lives of children and adults in Lincoln and the surrounding area by connecting them with animals and nature through unique firsthand experiences. The Zoo is home to over 30 endangered animals and over 300 total animals.
For nearly fifty years, the Lincoln's Children's Zoo has provided the community with opportunities to learn firsthand about the environment in a fun and relaxed setting. Visitors of all ages will meet the Zoo's 400 animal residents, as they explore the lush nine acre grounds. The nationally ranked Zoo encourages interaction with nature through opportunities to touch, climb, pet, dig and feed. The Lincoln Children's Zoo is an enchanting ten acre oasis in Lincoln's central Antelope Park, not far from downtown. On exhibit are 400 animals, of 100 species in settings specifically designed for a child's engagement and delight, where imagination runs wild, and discovery is the most common event.
